Starting with the first day of October the 8th /’fu:bar/ festival is endeavoring into a new sequence of new media art processes and errors within.
This year’s iteration is focused on understanding and supporting different notions and modalities of digital+online IDENTITIES. The event is articulating this broad topic with a week of performances, workshops, talks and lectures by ~20 artists and collectives interleaved in interdisciplinary areas of digital networks, ethical computing and contemporary multimedia. The discursive program is supported by a set of video screenings and a media art installation.
Our 2022 program is supported by artists, activists and curators: Subota [HR], Z. The festival event will be progressing towards the end of October – into a big group exhibition accessible online and as a free-access local installation (at the Institut français de Croatie, Zagreb/HR), where we will share, show and discuss several hundreds of artwork by more than a hundred artists from all around the world. All events are free access; some workshops require registration.
The events are conducted in English (unless otherwise stated).

Fubar festival is a project directed and produced by the Format C Artist Organization and administrated by AKC. It’s supported by a number of collaborating authors and participating artists, as well as many program and media partners – and the mi2 association via the MaMa net.cultural club venue. The event program is financially supported by the Kultura nova Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Zagreb as well as many glitch art supporters over the years.
