Starting with the first day of October the 8th /’fu:bar/ festival is endeavoring into a new sequence of new media art processes and errors within.

The artistic practice of Carlos Martiel critically explores the structural racism and political systemic historical violence against all socially marginalized bodies, black, female, sexually and gender non-normative, queer, immigrant bodies and generally stands as a condemnation of the dominant North American and Eurocentric discursive and social stigmatizations of otherness.

Croatian and international writers are commissioned by the Yale University and Queer Zagreb to produce their work about the understanding of the queer mythology, family myths and maturing. Their work is presented in the form of stage readings and followed by the conversation.

The presentation and the chapter reading from the book of Wagner Schwartz “Never together, but at the same time” concerns the socio-cultural context and public reactions to the performance of “La Bête” in 2017, at the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo, during which a photo was shared online presenting an artist being touched by a child and her mother.

The exhibition presents a survey of both contemporary and historical pirate care practices and it is accompanied by a public programme focusing on Healthcare As Disobedience.
